Normandy, a part of France's history
Normandy, a region in France attracts those who want to have good time at D-Day landing beaches. Despite the fact that we wanted to revive some part of the history, we came airborne. No matter the means of transportation, tourists had better not miss the numerous historic locations!
Monuments in Bayeux recreate history to the smallest detail but nothing compares to the inland town in Normandy that includes Coutances, Alencon and Evreux. If you are fond of trying out new food at different locations, then the delicious rustic cuisine is also part of the menu.
Types of cuisine in Normandy
Last time while being there, seafood was the specialty of the country. We were excited to find out whether something has changed or not. We knew it; this region was still considered to be a good and relaxed eating vacation spot. You can enjoy freshly caught scallops and crayfish in the form of different delicious Normandy cuisines. There is a tradition of washing it all with a glass of apple cider. If anything, than this local drink can clean the bad odor.
Popular sites of Normandy
Bayeux cathedral is a sumptuous Gothic cathedral which no doubt will attract some cameras. Ask for another day off, call your ticketing agent and prolong the vacation: the cathedrals must be part of the trip! Another €50 for the rebooking and you can enjoy Normandy for another 24 hours! A possible reward for this superficial financial sacrifice could be Centre Guillaume le Conquerant and its historic Bayeux Tapestry.

A night at Honfleur
In Deauville if you walk along the seashore, you will understand why it's called the Beach of Flowers. At the same time you will notice that the sun set on the horizon and you need a friendly accommodation. Honfleur was just the right town! Located on the Seine Estuary, you must not miss this place if you are visiting Normandy. When you enter Honfleur, you will feel uniqueness in the environment especially the timber framed houses, the harbors which are busy all the time and the roads which are flower-lined. Most people come during summer to enjoy sitting on a pavement café.
Some other popular sites in Normandy include Mont St Michel and Rouen but all these with another occasion. So when are you planning your trip to Normandy?
